FAQs

  • What are your session rates?

My fees range from $190-250 based on income, availability, and appointment type.

I offer a sliding fee scale based on annual income for clients who experience financial hardship and also do not receive insurance reimbursements. If you feel this applies to you, mention it when you reach out!

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance companies. However, some people have more out-of-network benefits than they realize when it comes to mental health!

I recommend prospective clients call the number on the back of their insurance card and ask if your plan includes “out-of-network” coverage for mental health. If so, I will send you a monthly superbill for insurance reimbursement.

You also have the option to utilize Mentaya, a service that submits claims on your behalf and simplifies the process of getting reimbursed. I'm happy to help walk you through the process!

  • What is a typical session format?

I offer in-person sessions at our cozy, accessible office space in Herald Square Monday-Wednedsay.

I also offer virtual therapy for anyone located in New York with flexible availability. Sessions are conducted on a HIPAA compliant platform.

Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise specified.

Therapy yields the most consistent results when started on a weekly basis. Sometimes stepping frequency up or down may be recommended on a case-by-case basis.

  • Where can I find more mental health resources?

  • Do you offer virtual or hybrid therapy options?

Yes, I offer both virtual and hybrid options for residents of the state of NY for your convenience.

  • What are the benefits of out-of-network therapy?

Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you're going through. When considering the implications of using insurance, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit for some. Please feel free to call me to further discuss any questions.
